If there is any place most visited by tourist as well as the locals alike in the world, it is the Times Square in NYC. Times Square is sandwiched between Broadway and Seventh Avenue in Manhattan. Proud host of one of the most sizzling shopping malls, interesting art collecting centers, the famous Broadways, Times Square is the commercial and recreational center of NYC.

Earlier named as the Longacre Square at the time of its construction but the name Times Square stuck up with it. Multitude of hotels and restaurants grace this famous square. Tourists can find upscale and luxury hotels such as the New York Marriot Marquis Hotel as well as a plethora of fantastic affordable hotels. Cheap eats and resting places can also be found on Times Square.

Times Square is brightly lit and energized at all times. It is the cultural and entertainment center with the famous Broadway shows located here! Colorful signposts and neon Lights grace Times Square making it inevitable for anyone to notice it. These signs have become quite an identification of time Square so much that all buildings in that area now have to display their business address and type displayed in bright colors. The outer view of Times Square now is similar to that of Las Vegas because of the bright colors, prominent lights and decorative festive environment!

The year 1992 saw major renovation carried out on the Times Square that led to upraise in the quality and extent of business ventures at Times Square. The general hygienic conditions have improved ever since and variation in business has been noticed.  Times Square is home to various multi nature businesses such as the famous and much popular Television talk show—“Voice of America” is broadcasted from this square. These renovations have not altered the façade in fact these alterations have made it more splendid and grandiose.

Celebration of the New Year’s Eve at Times Square is fantastic and recorded by millions of TV channels. Attended by thousands of people, this celebration has become a major source of attraction for Times Square. Some other unbeatable tourist attractions of Times Square include the Times Square Studios, the Coca-Cola Sign, and One Astor Plaza.

To give full credit to Times Square, you would have to spend many days and nights touring it. The place reeks of rich American culture, artistic values and energy that are characteristic of NYC itself.
